A Land Without A Nation

When Egypt was an occupied country, it wasn't that hopless we think. Egyptians were like one soul dwelling in everyone's body. They were dreamers! One dream was visiting every Egyptian citizen every single night.. a dream by the name of Egypt. People might say "you can't feel how horrible it was because you have never experienced that". Come on people, at least they had a NATION!!
Having a nation is about feeling safe. It's like a promise that whenever life turns black , we're gonna reach the light together . It's about having common dreams to chase and massive efforts to be done to deserve having the sun shining again .
Nowadays, we're said to have a free land. However, it feels like we're living in some wild place where everybody belongs just to himself. Dreams became hypothetical, people are chasing an illusion and everything is in ruins .
Nobody can feel safe and while forigeners appreciate our country and love it, we almost hate it and complain about belonging to it all the time.
We live in separate islands on the surface of the same piece of land where corruption , hatred and depression accumlate everywhere.
It was one day a nation.. one unit.. But now, i think it's no more than separate groups of people and what's common between them is their location on the map. While some people are just in endless battles for their own good even if  it means the destruction of everything else.
Consequently , I think you've already guessed the way I feel. It's that an occupied land with a living nation is able to rise again. While a free land without a nation is already dead so that it doesn't even have a present to wait for a future.
Just to wait for the light at the end of the tunnel, we gotta have a nation first. Simply because the nation is all about sharing , dreaming , believing and achieving .
